Describe the characteristics of your multiple baseline design including the purpose, general characteristics, design strengths, and design weaknesses.

For this module course project component, you will develop a variation of your multiple baseline design for your single-subject study for your Course Project: Assessment of Student Learning: Utilizing Single-Subject Design Assignment.
To prepare:
Review the O’Neill, R.E., et al. (2011) course text readings for this module to gather insights and examples to support your multiple baseline design variation for this module’s course project component.
Consider the topic, variables, and designs you have developed and submitted to your Instructor thus far to inform this Assignment.
( My Topic)
What are the effects of students taking on parenting roles in their household and its impact on the school experience? How do the students find joy in all this trauma and grief?
By Day 7 of Week 7, Compose a 2–3 page overview of your first variation of the multiple baseline design for your single-subject study.
Note: See the Course Project instructions and rubric in Module 6 for more details regarding this assignment’s requirements.
(Part 4: Multiple Baseline Design
To prepare for this section of the Course Project, view the video by Dr. Falcomata and complete the readings in the O’Neill text in the Module 4 Learning Resources. Pay particular attention to how a basic A-B-A-B design may be modified and to the Multiple Baseline Design components found in Table 7.1 of your course text. You will use the A-B-A-B Design you created in Module 3 to develop a Multiple Baseline Design.
Write 2–3 pages regarding your Multiple Baseline Design that includes the following:
Describe the characteristics of your Multiple Baseline Design including the Purpose, General Characteristics, Design Strengths, and Design Weaknesses.
Identify the aspects of the A-B-A-B Design that may remain the same as well as the changes that are necessary for the A-B-A-B Design to conform to a Multiple Baseline Design. Describe how the changes will impact the study.
Explain to what extent the changes modified your research question(s).
Analyze how the changes to the design support the study and could impact your findings.
Cite at least 3-5 current research articles to support your ideas.)

Think of a creative activity that would require the students to make a list of characteristics that are unique about the selected author’s work in order to create his/her own style statement.

Attached is an example of what is supposed to be done for the assignment!
Part 1:
Research the Author and the Author’s Works
This section should begin with an introduction of the author that includes background information and a list of works, awards and honors. This section should include a rationale for selecting the author and the books that will be used in the author study. The rationale should also address the appropriateness of the author for the grade level the author study will address, the genre of the books and how the books address ELA standards.
Part 2:
Using the Author’s Books to Teach a Mini-Lesson
This section will include a mini-lesson that uses one of the texts in the author study.
A mini lesson might focus on: the teaching of literacy concepts/strategies or skills (e.g., think alouds, semantic mapping, using context clues, word families, reading for expression, sequencing), the teaching of literary devices (e.g., alliteration, personification, determining mood) and the teaching of writing (e.g., writing a friendly letter, memoir writing, persuasive writing). Begin the mini-lesson with a brief summary of the book being used for the lesson. Next, you should write a rationale explaining how the book supports the chosen literacy, literary or writing concept. Next, write a description (not bullets or a list) of an objective, procedure, application, and effectiveness of lesson. The objective should describe the skill/concept to be taught. The procedure should describe the steps YOU (not your students) will take to teach the skill/concept. The application should describe what the STUDENTS will do independently to illustrate that they can apply what has been taught. The effectiveness of the lesson should describe what the students need to do to illustrate that the lesson was successful.
Part 3:
Teaching Author Styles and Themes
This section will explain how a style statement is created. A style statement is a description of the author’s style and favorite theme(s). Think of a creative activity that would require the students to make a list of characteristics that are unique about the selected author’s work in order to create his/her own style statement. Be sure to include the list of characteristics that are unique about the selected author’s works in this section.
Part 4:
Culminating Activity
This section will detail activit(ies) that bring the unit to a close. The activit(ies) should reflect the students’ knowledge about the author that has been studied. This activit(ies) should be creative and interactive.
