The u.s. has one of the highest violent crime rates in the world, especially for homicide and gun violence.

The U.S. has one of the highest violent crime rates in the world, especially for homicide and gun violence. But is the often heard assumption that mass shooters, serial killers, and other violent offenders are mentally ill accurate? In this essay, describe and explain the key concepts and theories of behavioral and cognitive psychology (Ch. 5). Then, discuss whether or not the individual focus and treatments of psychology can help address and prevent violent crimes in the U.S.

A good technique is to discuss specific concepts you want to study more.

Read Chapter 6: Long-Term Memory: Structure
Write a 1 page reaction for chapter 6″ Long-Term Memory: Structure”
Double spaced, times new roman 12pt. font.
You can write about whatever you like, as long as it pertains to concepts covered within the chapter. Was there something you found interesting? Why so? How can you apply the chapter to your everyday life? Did you learn something that shocked you and you want to know more about it. A good technique is to discuss specific concepts you want to study more. Simply writing out what you learned, is studying and rehearsing and will help you perform better on exams. You can also bold certain concepts and use your reaction papers when studying for exams.

Discuss a research method and design related to this potential problem.

Assignment instructions:
Prepare a brief problem statement (250-300 words) related to your selected topic area that you now believe represents a potential area of inquiry that you might pursue for your dissertation. Remember, a problem statement uses critically evaluated findings from previous research to demonstrate the existence of a gap in knowledge appropriate to a dissertation. Your problem statement must use sources to demonstrate what you know and do not know, not what researchers have done and not done.
Next, you will prepare a paper in which you discuss:
1. Include a brief reflection that includes a discussion of your experience writing the Problem Statement. How did you condense the key information from your literature review into 300 words or less? What problems or concerns did you experience during this process?
2. Discuss a research method and design related to this potential problem. Explain how this method and design would be appropriate to address the problem you have identified.
3. Describe feasibility issues related to your proposed method/design and potential problem. What practical considerations or ethical and legal issues would you need to consider?

Be sure the cited references are properly written in apa format in a reference

I have included a publish paper to follow along with. or use for the beginning.
Title page (APA style)
2. Introduction Introduction must be at least three full pages of writing not including the
title page and the reference page. (Longer is very acceptable, shorter is
not).
2. One inch margins, double spaced, 12 point font, all headings according
to APA format. Do not leave extra lines between paragraphs or at the top
of the paper. Be sure running heads and page numbers are correctly
formatted.
3. Introduction should introduce the area of psychology and the subject of
your paper to the reader. It should contain the background to both, so the
reader will understand what your paper is about and how the area and
subject are connected. It should start with the general and go to the
specific.
4. According to APA format, the introduction of a paper DOES NOT have a
heading. Just start writing.
3. References Cited: When you make a statement of fact you must reference it with
a citation from a peer reviewed journal. Be sure they are in APA format.
4. Be sure the cited references are properly written in APA format in a reference
section. Every citation in your paper should be matched with a reference in this
section.
5. Make sure that all headings and subheadings are in APA format. See APA
manual for guidance.
